Organic PorkOur Welsh Organic pork cannot be rivalled for taste. We allow our pigs to be reared naturally, housed in arks thickly bedded with straw, with the option of going outside all year round. They root in the organic soil, fed the highest quality organic feeds to produce delightfully flavoured juicy pork.All our organic pork is produced to the highest organic standards, with pigs roaming on ample pasture, allowing them to behave, as pigs love to behave, rooting in the earth and lounging in the sun. The pigs and their piglets are kept in family groups, and their mothers naturally wean the piglets at around 8 weeks, as opposed to less than 4 weeks as in some intensive indoor piggeries. Cambrian Organics uses pork from traditional British Breeds such as Oxford Sandy and Blacks, Saddlebacks, Gloucester Old Spots and Tamworth, giving the pork that lovely old-fashioned flavour. The pork may have more fat than intensively reared pigs, giving the meat succulence and outstanding crackling.
